A Child’s Voice in the STOP Pornography Campaign

Ainul, one of the participants in the Resilience Life Skills Training held by WVI some time ago, was worried by the rampant cases of child sexual abuse at the moment. Ainul is called to be a pioneer and whistleblower so that her generation is aware of the importance of protecting themselves from sexual abuse.

According to her, the leading cause of sexual abuse is caused by a person’s addiction to pornography. The knowledge she got from WVI activities gave a positive impact on her.

The material of ‘How to Protect Yourself from Pornography Addiction’ becoming a weapon for Ainul to go forward to provide dissemination of knowledge for children in her village. Not only for children, but Ainul also turned out to involve the government in dissemination events.

“We hope that the village government can create a safe environment for children in the village and support positive child participation activities,” Ainul said loudly.

The nervousness that she felt for the first time speaking in public did not defeat her incredible determination to continue to provide socialization about the dangers of pornography addiction.

Ainul hopes that the socialization she conveys is not limited to knowledge but can be applied in everyday life.

“Pornography addiction is not cool,” she said.

Ainul is one of the thousands of girls who are helped through various WVI programs. You can help other girls enjoy the freedom of expression and creativity through the 1000 Girls campaign. Learn more about this campaign at: wahanavisi.org/1000girls/
